Windows 7 requires .NET Framework 4.6 or newer version to be installed. Download the latest version here if not yet installed on your computer. Download .NET Framework 4.7.2
Download and install Aldelo POS or XERA POS
Backup database before removing any prior versions of Aldelo For Restaurants POS or XERA POS.
Download and install Aldelo POS or XERA POS. (Download Aldelo POS or XERA POS)
Patch and configure Aldelo EPS
Make sure Windows time zone and date time is accurate, this is very important to update end piont key in AIS.
Downlaod DRM patch file and extract to a temp folder, make sure all the extracted files are UNLOCK in File Properties, General tab.
Copy the patch files to "DRM End Point" folder and overwrite existing files.
Navigate to Start Button > All Programs > Aldelo and then click on the "Aldelo Integration Services", click on tab "End Points", select "Renew Keys" for the DRM entry, then click tab "Home", and select "Yes" to renew the key. And then click "Install Service" to enable AIS service in the running state and exit.
Navigate to Start Button > All Programs > Aldelo and then click on the "Aldelo DRM", click the "Manage Services" button, then click "Install Service" or "Start Service".
Download MPQT.exe and run to create 2 text files, complete the registration info in REG_INFO.txt(the info will be printed on your guest ticket) and DO NOT touch the DO_NOT_MODIFY.txt files, send the files to nanfen_at_gmail_dot_com with subject "APOS license file" or "XPOS license file" to request a key.

Aldelo/XERA POS on iPad and Android tablet if you need wireless ordering
Download and install RDP Wrapper Library to enable concurrent RDP session on Desktop OS like Windows 7 or 10.
Create a user for each tablet device
Download RDP app on your tablet on Apple App Store or Google Play, it can be any RDP apps you used to use, but not all the apps support changing screen resolution to 800x600 which Aldelo working in full screen mode. To work full screen mode on tablet, you need to change screen resolution to 800x600 in the app settings.
Run Aldelo EDC setup file, accept setup default and all the way Next to Finish
Run SQL Server setup file, accept all default settings besides changing default instance name "SQLExpress" to "Aldelo".
In Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off, select and expand "Internet Information Services", expand "World Wide Web Services", "Application Development Features", make sure ASP.NET (Windows 7) or ASP.NET 4.x (Windows 10) is selected. Click OK to install IIS.
Click Start and type IIS in search box, select Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, in IIS Manager, under Connections, expand your computer name, click on Application Pools, make sure you see v4.0 in .NET CLR Version. If you see v2.0, open a Command Prompt window as administrator and change dir to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319 and type "aspnet_regiis /i" to register ASP.NET v4.0 to IIS. Right click on Application Pools and refresh to confirm ASP.NET v4.0 was registered successfully.
In IIS Manager, expand Sites and right click on Default Web Site, select Add Application menu option. Put "AldeloEDC" to alias, and select "C:\Program Files (x86)\Aldelo\Aldelo EDC\Server" for the physical path, NO (x86) in the path for 32bit Windows.
This step only for 64bit Windows, 32bit system please skip to next. click Start, type IIS in search box and select "IIS App Pool Registration", press any key to close the window and make sure the EDC webservice was well configured and running.
Run Aldelo EDC to create a database and setup merchant account in it.
